Greetings Sheridan Beachers!
Summer is almost here!! We have missed seeing and being with our neighbors and are looking forward to warmer weather and long days on the beach! We are planning to hold our traditional three (3) meetings in Beachwalk (Stop 7) on the 2nd floor of the new clubhouse again this year. A big thank you to the Beachwalk Board for allowing us to use this beautiful space. Our summer 2024 meetings will be held on:
Memorial Day Saturday, May 25th (Annual Meeting)
Independence Day Saturday, July 13th (the weekend after the 4th of July weekend)
Labor Day Saturday, August 31st
The meetings start at 9:00 a.m. and will conclude no later than 10:00 a.m. In addition, please also mark your calendars for our annual community party which will be held on Saturday, July 13th from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Georgia Ave (Stop 3) between Colfax and the lake. Hotdogs, ice cream truck, refreshments…and more!!
A lot has been happening and will be happening in Michigan City. Being a part of SBHA is a great way to meet your neighbors, learn about Michigan City activities, have your voice heard on issues that we care about, and contribute to maintaining the safety, quality, and quiet enjoyment of our community. With the assistance of Chief of Police Mary Corley, we are lining up a full schedule of private security for the neighborhood. We rely on your support to pay for this extra security. Please encourage your neighbors and friends to join SBHA.
You can either mail your dues, bring a check to the May 25th meeting, or pay your dues online (using secure PayPal) by clicking on “Join SBHA.”
It is important for everyone to join. We must stay strong and viable as a Sheridan Beach Community. Only with a healthy membership can we continue to be an effective and credible voice for Sheridan Beach – and provide the added security that has improved our community.
We look forward to seeing you this summer – especially at our annual meeting on May 25th. We’ll be holding elections, sharing lots of updates about the esplanade, new development projects within Sheridan Beach, security, the park and beaches, and more. With thanks from the members of the SBHA Board.
